Now, the development of general education in colleges and universities has unclear positioning of the relationship between general education and professional teaching, different courses, lack of teachers’ energy, and students’ lack of emphasis on thinking, etc. Based on this type of inspiration, the Central Committee of the General Teaching of the Science and the Yuelu Bookstore of Hunan University held a seminar on January 2, 2018 on the theme of “China’s Traditional Civilization and General Teaching of the Science and Technology”. During the meeting, we received a machine taught by Chen Zhaoying, a major Chinese department in Taiwan. During the interview, Teacher Chen combined her research and teaching experience, took the current situation of Taiwan’s “Traditional Civilization and General Teaching” as an example, and analyzed the challenges faced by the “Traditional Civilization and General Teaching” in colleges and universities in a light-faced manner, and conveyed the wonderful hope of activate “classical tradition” with “Traditional Civilization and General Teaching”. From beginning to end, Teacher Chen has studied Chinese traditional civilization with a broad vision, from literature to philosophy to comparative literature, integrating Chinese and Western culture, ancient and modern times, and has written “Taiwan Confucianism: Source, Development and Transformation”, “Confucian Aesthetics and Classics”, “Taiwan and Traditional Civilization” and “Xunzi’s Aesthetics”. During the interview, Teacher Chen introduced the transformation of Confucianism in Nanming, Taiwan, and Xunzi, who were deeply influenced by the “using the world” trend and the “Zhu Zixue” trend, and also put forward her explanation of the classical text commentary cultivation market.
On the other hand, Teacher Chen discussed from his own research to the present situation of the “Confucianism’s return to the hot” and Taiwan’s “Confucianism’s Lu Shan” trend. She believes that the important thing about “Confucianism’s return to popularity” in the world is that Confucianism has its own vitality. In the future, Taiwan Confucianism may be affected by political policies. The proportion of classics in the course planning is declining, and it even has traditional Chinese characteristics. The recognition of civilization is a crisis. Regarding this situation, Teacher Chen believes that the dilemma faced by departmental improvement of general education in terms of “revitalizing” the content of textbooks, ignoring the vitality of classical civilization, maintaining confidential teacher-student relationships, and improving students’ class participation. She not only uses the Confucianism and general teaching guidance in class teaching, but also uses the Confucianism worshipped by Emperor Wenchang as an introduction to provide a new perspective on the development of general teaching guidance in the common.
At the end of the interview, she also stated that Yuelu Bookstore is a unique “revitalized” bookstore among the four bookstores, which is located in it, making people “respectful”. We can feel the great respect and respect of Teacher Chen for the classical tradition. At the same time, she also hopes that our students will never Don’t forget the tradition and continue to study the Chinese Summer School.

Classic Tradition and Aesthetics Review
“Teacher Sayings”: Hello, Teacher Chen! We know that the purpose of your previous discussion was changed from Chinese to philosophy, but why did you become interested in comparing literature?
Chen Zhaoying: I have studied three departments in total, namely Chinese, Philosophy, and Foreign Languages. The establishment of Taiwan departments is different from that in China. Compared with literature in Taiwan, it belongs to the foreign language department and in China, it belongs to the Chinese department. When I graduated from the Chinese Department, I missed Chinese philosophy very much. At that time, the Chinese Department’s department focused on thinking on the subject to study history of art, and at that time, the compulsory courses of the Chinese Department (such as Chinese Thought History, etc.) were invited by teachers from the Department of Philosophy to take the course.
At the third year of the year, I began to listen to the Philosophy Department. Teacher Zhang Yongye’s course on “The Philosophy of the Qing Dynasty” had a deep influence on me. Teacher Zhang’s class was important to discuss philosophy in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Among them, Wang Fuzhi was discussed and discussed deeply. It turned out that in the high school Chinese literary class, I learned Wang Fuzhi’s “Baishan Notes”. I felt it was very difficult at that time, but I was moved by difficult words. During the Philosophy Research Institute, the “Baishan Notes” written by my teacher Huang has always been posted on the wall in front of my desk. After “Philosophy of the Qing Dynasty”, I heard about the Confucianism of Song and Ming dynasties by Teacher Zhang Yongye. I was deeply influenced and decided to study Chinese Philosophy in the Technologist stage. I was fortunate to be admitted to the Institute of Philosophy.
It turned out that I wanted to find a literate essay to guide me by Teacher Zhang, but when I was in the middle of the year, I became fascinated by Marxism. In order to trace the origin of Marxism, I compiled Hegel from Teacher Zhang Kezhen. Because the origin of Marxism philosophy is Hegel, my essay ended up writing black.Aesthetic heritage between Ger and Lukachi. This period of experience, especially his learning of Hegel, has had a profound impact on me and is a reversal in my research on therapies. When I reached the doctoral stage, I felt that I could integrate the study of undergraduate and master’s degree to do a comparison between Chinese and Western literature, so I tried to conduct a comparative study of Confucian literature theory and Marxist-themed literature theory in my doctoral literature. Although I have been thinking about the different departments and the process has been very twists and turns, the three-stage discussions are not unrelated. The doctoral stage is very similar to the combination of the first two stages.
“Teacher’s Talk”: Teacher Chen, you said in Gao Wen’s “Source, Development and Transformation of Confucianism in Taiwan”: Taiwan Confucianism originated from the Confucian tradition of the Southern Ming Dynasty’s study and the practical application of the world. The mainstream thinking in its development stage was influenced by the Zhu Zi School in Fujian. During the transformation period, he emphasized moral education with poetry and history, and returned to the energy used by the Southern Ming Dynasty in the past. Can you give us a detailed discussion on this development and change process?
Chen Zhaoying: When I was studying, I was deeply moved by Confucianism in the Southern Ming Dynasty because of Teacher Zhang Yongye’s “Qing Dynasty Philosophy” course. Therefore, the later discussion on Taiwanese Confucianism in the Southern Ming Dynasty was related to my interest that year. This discussion process was very important to me. Before I wrote this book, I had a fight with some scholars, which was a question about the “externalization of Taiwan”. There are also some scholars studying this battle. During the war, I found that the impact of Chinese civilization on Taiwan is worthy of profound exploration. Since there were not many pioneers’ discussions at that time, I searched for literary data related to Taiwanese Confucianism in the Nanming Cultural and Taiwan Affairs Institute’s encyclopedia, and the pioneer’s mission was more difficult. During the discussion, I felt that I had learned a new course, which was a new experience.
The Confucianism in Southern Ming applied traditional structure in the past, which is a very natural process. I think you must be very familiar with the history of Yanwu, Huang Zongxi and Donglin Book Academy. In fact, when Zheng Zheng came to Taiwan, the Confucianism transplanted to Taiwan was the Southern Ming tradition, not the earlier Ming Dynasty psychological studies. Zheng Shengli’s own expertise is age. He always insisted on anti-Qing reconciliation until almost the entire China fell, and he was still supporting the southeastern half, which was affected by age. Zheng Sheng was conducive to establishing the Ming Dynasty’s government in Taiwan in 1661, and always used the Yongxian Nian. If the entire history of the Ming Dynasty was counted as the Ming Dynasty was admired, it could be until 1683.
